Happy weekend everyone! ♥
Hope yours has started off nicely. I can't begin to explain how wonderful this weather is for my soul. ♣ Just taking in the beauty of our God revealed in the seasons is healing to my bones! Hope you have a chance to sit out and enjoy it this weekend.
I know that some of you are finishing up the new Harper Lee book so I am not going to rush you. I want you to enjoy it and share your reflections. I have some of my own but will keep them to myself until all of you have had a chance to finish the book. ;)
We plan to begin the new book on the first of October. It is a bible study book.
As you know I like to switch it up a bit and do different genres of readings.
So, since we are finishing a fiction work I felt like a bible study was in order.
It is a good read and I think we will all benefit from this particular study.
Hopefully you will all have time to order it or
download it whatever works for you before the start date.
SOOOOOO
In the meantime... I want to remind you that our most important reading is our daily reading of God's Word. Who wouldn't want to read a love letter every morning? So, I am posting the link to the chronological bible reading that I have been using for years now.. and I know many of you are using it too. It is helpful to print it out on a pretty piece of paper, fold it in half and keep it as a book mark in your bible. That way you can just go to it each morning as you sit down to have coffee with your Lord and Savior. It is always rewarding to read the same plan with others as you can share your thoughts as you read. Those of us on this plan have just read through the destruction of Jerusalem. I think it's so funny that I read through this part of history each year during my wedding anniversary. I don't know why.... I just think it's so funny. Anyway, the cool thing about the plan is each year you read you will read the same passages during the same time each year.... so , like celebrating birthdays or Christmas or whatever... its like a holiday that you revisit each year at the same time. You will begin to notice that you read the same parts of scripture and the same time in history during particular times of the year over and over again. Does that make sense? For example... each year, during the 4th of July I read about Jezebel. It kinda helps keep it all in order and you think to yourself, "Oh, I remember last year , last July 4th reading this passage!"
Enough of that... just wanted you to have this plan.... print it out... for the in between books time when you may find yourself waiting for others to finish a book in our club. So... here's the link...

Have a wonderful weekend :)
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.
Genesis 1:14-15
